Voted the 20th best restaurant in Latin America (2014). This well known restaurant is situated right on the beach and has the appearance of a cosy upmarket beach shack. It specialises in sushi and wood-grilled platters and has a great bar with excellent cocktails and wine selection. By Francis Mallmann and Finca La Anita
A short journey from José Ignacio is the small arty town of Garzón with the famous Garzón Restaurant, run by Francis Mallman. Francis Mallmann is one of Argentina’s most famous chefs, originally trained in French cuisine, he now cooks with Argentine ingredients and wood fires, the way he had seen gauchos and Indians cook when he was growing up in Patagonia. He located his restaurant in the remote town of Garzón because he fell in love with the relaxed, remote and beautiful landscape of Garzón. Very special but expensive.
